Combining Conservation, Kaitiakitanga and AI

Kaitiakitanga means being a guardian of the natural world, including our marine habitats like oceans, reefs, and beaches.

To protect these places, we can use AI (artificial intelligence) to help. AI can sort images of fish, track changes in the ocean, and help scientists understand how healthy our marine life is.

By combining AI with kaitiakitanga, we use smart tools and traditional values together to care for the moana and all the creatures that live in it.
